Tuition Cost

Students attending Ball State University or Purdue University pay tuition to the academic institution for the senior year. A tuition reimbursement policy results in a portion of the tuition being reimbursed to the Medical Technology program. The tuition paid by other students entering the Ball Memorial Hospital School of Medical Technology is $3000 for the 12-month program.

The Medical Technology Program is the recipient of an endowed scholarship fund. The students receive $1,000 provided by the Agnes Howe Jones Scholarship. They receive $500 in August and $500 in January.

The hospital cafeteria serves meals at a reduced cost to students and employees.

Students must purchase a set of textbooks. Estimated cost of books is approximately $570. Housing is furnished by the student. Ball State students may live on campus by making special arrangements through university student housing.

Medical Evaluation

The Program will send out medical evaluation forms to the students who are accepted into the program. These are to be completed and returned the first day of class in July. A drug test is a part of the admission requirements. A background check is also part of the preadmission screening.
